Main section The first drill demonstrated is Russell standing with his eyes closed as his partner moves round him banging focus mitts together and as soon as he hears it Russell throws the BAR
Secondly it is demonstrated on a partner who is grabbing him, later shown with a head guard on with a harder strike which produces a good result of the attacker being knocked back and unable to fight for 3 seconds
Thirdly it is shown as a pre emptive strike again the partner is floored and out for about 6 seconds. It is a powerful shocking strike, giving you time to strike again or escape.

Later drills step up the pressure with the partner using a boxing glove grabbing and trying to strike Russell ,again the partner is floored instantly through a head guard and the strike was not thrown full power.
Pressure is stepped up again with both partners wearing shin guards and a low kick/sweep is added to the BAR,then extra strikes are applied
A waveform is applied and then BAR is applied to the arms and followed with a head butt
It ends with a discussion of the effectiveness in cutting down reaction time of BAR and how not to think of it as a fight finisher but more a set up for other techniques
OVERALL A quick easy DVD to watch which will give you a way to short circuit the decision making process give you a good first strike ,which buys you time to follow up or escape. Ideal for self defence and particularly for those without much time to practise. 8/10
