3 Killer Fight-Winning Tips!




1) Hit Hard and Aim THROUGH the Target

When you strike make sure that your feet are firmly
planted and that you use all of your bodyweight, not
just your arm!

Turn your hip into it and THROW a punch like pitching
a baseball. You can even imagine you have a baseball
in your hand and you are going to ''pitch'' right through
your attacker's jaw!


2) Strike Repeatedly

If the initial strike doesn't get the job done, keep hitting
in the same place until your attacker is stopped.

For example: think of Hockey players grabbing and hitting...
hold the back of the neck and repeatedly elbow the face.

Do not stop Striking until the attacker is either down,
running away, or surrenders, which leads to...


3) Remain Fight-Ready

Remember this: inside the Act of Submission lies the
counter-attack!

Do not let your guard down when an attacker surrenders
or appears defeated.

The ancient Samurai called this "Zanshin"
(constant remaining alertness)

Keep vigilant and remain in command and physical
control until you can safely discharge the attacker where
they cannot harm you, which could be when they're
knocked out (you'll learn many Knockouts in Primal Fighting),
allowing them to flee, or handing them off to the authorities.

Preparing To Fail?

Preparing To Fail?

This is an all too often spectacle that I see in various training methods.

Unfortunately, it is also one that the participants are totally unaware of.

They have no idea that their training methodology is preparing them for failure rather than success.

That does not mean, of course, that they will always fail... it means that they are making the job of success much harder than it should be.

Let's look at a simple example..... a move that is done in practically every single TMA Class, every time.

Gedan Barai / Low section Block - or whatever you want to call it.

I have yet to visit a Club / Association / Group that has everyone practicing this move for success and I will explain why.

Everywhere I go they start from a ready position, Instructor calls out the move and go, the students then move to the desired position.

Some are quicker and more powerful than others... but the object of the exercise seems to be to get to the ''correct looking'' position as quickly as possible.

No thought is actually given to the dynamics, mechanics and reason for the move.

Most places still say this is to BLOCK a front kick.... but the ACTUAL movement is woefully inadequate for that task - in other words, they are preparing to fail.

Any full contact club / sport would not use this move, especially in the way practiced, to block a front kick.

So, why would TMA still keep going on about it?

Simply because that is what they have been told... so that is what they do.... even when they NEVER use it in sparring.

Rarely do I see any ''connection'' between the feet, legs, hips, torso, shoulders and head when people execute this move.

Yes.. all these parts are moving... but they are INDEPENDANT of each other. They are merely placed in the correct position.

So, if we imagine a video clip of 30 frames per second... and the move takes one second... then only frame 1 and 30 actually look correct.

And that is what people are happy with.

Frames 2 to 29 are the critical ones, they are THE MOST IMPORTANT frames of that whole movement.

Everything needs to come together in one EXPLOSIVE and DYNAMIC movement with the intention and mindset of complete destruction.

If you are using that movement as an arm bar / break... then that is what you must be imagining when you make the move.

It is essentially ''shadow boxing'' that movement and that technique.

These Kihons or basics are still VERY important movements and will help you to understand whole body movement (hint: the waveform) and how to apply it to your Art.

This whole body movement and mindset should be applied on each and every basic movement in practice.

It should be applied when you start to understand Kata... a couple of moves at a time... not doing the whole sequence... but that's another story for another time.

So, my friend... do not prepare to fail..... make sure that you understand why and how a move should be made... and apply all the above and all the Players you know into each and every move... EVERY SINGLE time you practice.

That way you will prepare to succeed.

What if you had One day to save your life!

4 Ways to Knock out an Attacker

There is nothing safer in a self-defense situation than an opponent who is unconscious.
In that state he can do you no harm, any weapons are nullified, and you have ample time to
escape.
Does that make sense?
Today I am going to share with You How to actually KNOCK OUT Your Attacker!
I know you will appreciate this real-world kick-ass "how to"

4 ways to Knock Out your Attacker

1. The Strangle:
It is so quick, painless and efficient, that your opponent does not even know he is in trouble
until it's too late and he's in la-la land!
It's this simple: The strangle cuts off the blood and if done RIGHT is painless. Your attacker
does not FIGHT it like he does a Choke attempt (because that hurts like hell).
Self-Defense How-To: Wrap your arm around their neck making sure that your elbow joint is in line with the middle of the neck (under the adams apple)
Do a figure four (grabbing your wrist with your other hand) and squeeze your bicep whilst lifting slightly upwards. When done hard and fast, they are out in less than a second.
2. The Brain Rattle:
One simple brain-rattling point is on the mustache - it releases the neck muscle INSTANTLY
and allows MASSIVE brain shake, for the simplest of Knockouts.
Have you ever seen those old movies where people had a mustache that went all the way

Can I really learn from DVDs?

We are living in the information age. There is literally no shortage of good (and bad) information at our fingertips.

By finding the right information from a trusted source, and breaking it down into bite-sized bits so that you can learn at your own pace, you can
actually accelerate your learning!

Here’s a check-list to help you get the most with home-based video learning:

1. Do initial research to find a trainer that you’ll feel comfortable learning from. Then delve into what they have to offer.

2. Take what they show in digestible pieces, a bite at a time. For example, if their DVD shows 10 techniques, don’t attempt to practice each one at
the same time. Isolate one or two and really put in the effort to excel at them before moving on.

3. Record yourself. Sometimes we can be our best critic. Video yourself doing the move and compare to what the expert is doing. Take your time to to look for consistencies and proper application.

The insights you get from this can be invaluable and really speed up your learning progress!

4. Really analyze and listen to what the expert is saying. Don’t rush or gloss over anything. Sometimes it may take several viewings of a technique
to pick up on the finer details.

That’s the beauty of DVDs. It’s like having the same private lesson from the same teacher whenever you need it, at your convenience, until you have it
mastered!

5. Visualize what you are doing in your mind, and do the visualization in slow motion. Before we can do anything, it must be a thought in our mind.
Slow and gradual increases in tempo is the best approach.

Bruce Lee was known to use visualization, as well as many champions and olympic athletes. If it’s good enough for them, you need to make this a part of your training.

6. Schedule your time to train and be consistent. Make a schedule, stick to it and be fair to yourself.

7. Make it fun! The real secret is to love what you’re doing. That makes it fun, so time will seem to fly and you’ll find yourself a better fighter
than you thought you could be!

How To Knock Anyone Out

When someone talks about Self Defense and all the various aspects of it, one thing is absolutely certain:


AN UNCONSCIOUS MAN CAN’T HURT YOU.


That means if you cannot escape an attacker, the MOST EFFECTIVE Self Defense is to literally knock them out, as quickly as possible.


Now, there are many ways to K.O. someone, but right now I’m going to give you my personal favorite.


In my Pressure Point System we call it GB20 (which stands for “Gall Bladder 20″)


Don’t worry, I don’t do gobbly-gook and esoteric-speak.


I make it as simple to understand as a Kick in the Nether Regions.


Fair enough?


This is just our way of knowing locations and how to make them work.

In Modern Western Medicine (MWM) terms, the exact location is on the posterior of the neck, below the occipital bone, in the depression between the sternocleidomastoid muscle and trapezius muscle.


When I teach the Police or Security, I describe it in a way that’s much easier to understand: The point is in a direct line between the bottom of the ear and the spine, halfway6 same on both sides. Just under the round of the bone.


Then I get everyone to feel where the Point is. You can even reach around and feel it on the back of your own head.


Here is what the “science” tells us this can do with a strike to this point:


Strike 45, frees the channels and quickens the connecting vessels, light=K.O, hard=death.


Note the hard strike result!!


Ever wonder why this area is banned in MMA and ALL Contact Sports?


BECAUSE IT IS SO DAMNED EFFECTIVE and DANGEROUS!


In a self-defense situation, one can Bitch-slap this area, punch, elbow, or Hammerfist. The choice is;yours, just hit it and watch ‘em drop like a stone.


Once I show Security how effective this is, they are all over it like a fat kid on chocolate cake.
